The Two (2) Days K2 blackpearl™ Advanced Developer Workshop incorporates an end-to-end K2 solution that will be built from scratch for a specific process such as the Purchase Request. The Inobits Workshop Instructor will work side-by-side with the delegates to model best practices by constructing a solution that will include the creation and utilization of Web Services, SmartObjects & User Interfaces.

• Plan Once vs. Plan per Destination (All at once/One at a time) vs. Plan per Slot

Target Audience

• This course is targeted at professional developers with little to no K2 blackpearl development experience.
• Intermediate level .NET development experience is required (approximately 1-2 years .NET experience)
• All delegates must be comfortable developing applications with Visual Studio
• Familiarity with desired forms and implementation technology is required
  • If ASP.NET is the desired UI, then ASP.NET development experience is required
• If InfoPath is desired, then InfoPath development experience is required

Upon completion of this course, attendees should understand:

• K2 solution design and development methodology
• Workflow, UI and data design techniques using K2 blackpearl
• How to troubleshoot K2 blackpearl projects
• Where to locate K2 blackpearl information via various resources at their disposal
• With these skills, attendees should be able to accelerate the development of their K2 projects.

Assumptions

Upon completion of this course, attendees should understand:
The workshop is based on the following assumptions:

• Workshop is designed for 2 full day’s duration depending on student instructional needs and / or complexity of business process selected.
• Class time is split among handouts, verbal discussion, whiteboard sessions and walkthrough (demo) sessions. Whiteboard and walkthrough sessions also will include discussion and accompanying handouts.
• Many of the concepts will be presented via instructor demonstration.
• Student Labs will be concept and goal driven as opposed to step-by-step instructions.
• Instructor lectures and sessions will continually reinforce external reference material usage (e.g. K2 Developer’s Reference, K2 underground, K2 black-market) to demonstrate how students can effectively use these resources.
• A standard solution design methodology will be described and utilized throughout the demos and labs.
• The following methods will be used:
  • Best practice techniques will be utilized in all demos and labs
  • Explanations will include the pros and cons of specific features and highlight issues or restrictions
• Intro, Intermediate and Advanced topics will be included in separate courses.
• Training Courses are intended to be delivered to teams of ten individuals or less.

Cost

• The cost of the Two Days K2 Advanced Workshop is $ 3,000 per person; ($ 1,500 per day).
